Mission and Vision of Squamish Canyon

Community:

- A place where children can learn and play.

- Support and work with our local First Nations. Have First Nations history and culture present and represented.

- Improve trail access and be part of the solutions to alternative sustainable transportation.

- Be supporters of initiatives and volunteer organizations that better our community and ecosystems. Also, be one of those initiatives.

- Support and use local products and services that fall in line with our environmental and ethical goals.

- Create a business where our employees are passionate about what they do, are paid adequately, can grow with the company and share in its success.

- Continue to improve in every way and be a positive influence and contributor in leading a better way forward.

Environmental:

 - Be stewards of the land and not only protect it, but also increase habitat enhancement and green space with an aim to protect and preserve more in the future.

- Be a successful company and an environmental leader by maintaining best practices.

- Achieve low to zero waste and low to zero emissions, working towards zero-waste and negative-emissions.

- Become B Corp Certified: a business that considers the impact of our decisions on our employees, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.

- Be a leader in thinking long term and past ourselves to stimulate new, creative, and innovative solutions to diversify our natural resources and advance a sustainability agenda.

- Work with the local logging community to preserve the site so the rain forest can be enjoyed as a park and educational area for many years to come.

- Achieve an off-grid status and encourage visitors to use clean energy technologies such as electric vehicles and electric bikes.

Tourism:

 - Show how industry, recreation, tourism and a healthy ecosystem can all coexist.

- Create a unique outdoor space amongst the forest for our visitors, our community and local artisans. A space that is enjoyable in any weather conditions and shines during our wonderful rainy season.

- Create a safe, low impact experience for our increasing number of visitors that does not burden our first responders, harm the environment and encumber our community.

- Create a place that teaches visitors about our wildlife, outdoor safety and respect, our local history, First Nations language, history and culture, and our extraordinary ecology and geology. A place that allows visitors to get up close with outdoor athletes and learn about their passions.

- Integrate technology into the visitor experience to educate, inspire and enhance the visitors encounter with nature while maintaining the lowest impact possible on the environment.
